Work Finally begins on our new home! PTL!!! - Latest Pictures are on the bottom - click here We had to stop construction for a while when the sale of our old home in Iowa fell through. We had a long delay but finally work is starting up again after we finally sold the Iowa house after it was on the market for 2 years!!!
On August 8, 2003 - Construction begins on our new house.
The footing is being poured - August 14, 2003.
After Jim installed the plumbing, stress cable installation began on September 8, 2003.
9/1/04 The first wall of our new home goes up.
The walls are almost all up and ceiling joists in the north and west half of the house have been installed.
As information, we now have over 7,500' of wiring in the house - that nearly 1 1/2 miles of wiring. Wow I never dreamed a house had that much wiring in it. Of course that includes all 110v, 220v, Television, Telephone, Security Wiring, Door Bells, etc.
Finally Finished. We moved in May 13, 2005 |
